Originally released on YouTube in May 2015, Nightshovel's 'Beyond Salvation' EP is (very belatedly!) now on Bandcamp!

Nightshovel was a hugely important step in my development as a musician, as I endeavoured to transition fully from an aspiring bedroom guitarist to actual metal band front man. I knew very little about how being in a band worked so gigs were sporadic at best but writing for Nightshovel - learning to structure songs, add interesting details and avoid well worn formulas - was the most rewarding element for me personally. I'm still hugely proud of these songs, especially the title track, plus it makes me smile that people will still mention 'Thrashional Anthem' to me even now!

Special Thanks to: Chris D and Mark for helping me to make this band a reality, Krys for stepping in during lineup changes, Bob and Chris K for enabling the band to keep going, Will for recording and mixing the EP as well as the interim bass backing tracks, and Chris D again for the earlier recordings included here as bonus tracks.
